PRESSURE GROUTING

Pressure Grouting

Strong Foundations Through Expert Grouting

Pressure grouting is defined as an injection of fluid material into fractures and cavities within the rock, soils, or artificial structures. Foundation problems like vibration, leakage, water cut-off, deficient bearing, et al. encountered in new construction or existing structures can often be solved by pressure grouting using cement or chemical grout. Many structures and floors are raised back to original elevation by a controlled grouting program.

How It Works

The Pressure Grouting Process

Regulated Grout Flow

The purpose of pressure grouting is to regulate the quantity of grout going into the pipe. Because the process is repeated at additional elevations, the soil is compacted.

Bottom-Up Pumping

This process begins with the pumping of grout at rock bottom elevations. The pipes are withdrawn slightly and therefore the grout is allowed to line.

Repeated Elevations

The process is repeated at subsequent elevations. Upon completion, the pipe is again withdrawn slightly to the subsequent elevation.

Soil Compaction & Lift

The grout is allowed to line, and each level of grout pumping will push the soil through upward. Once the soil is compacted, it causes lift, pushing the foot and wall upward.
